Our story
Not every legacy is inherited. Some legacies are chosen.
For nearly seven decades, Rainbow Masala has earned a place in Indian kitchens through one simple promise — consistent taste. Generations of families, retailers and professional kitchens have trusted the brand not because it changed with trends, but because it never compromised on quality.
When Rainbow Masala became part of Darak Foods, we didn't set out to rewrite its story. We accepted the responsibility of carrying it forward — preserving the recipes, strengthening the systems and expanding its reach while protecting the trust built since 1956.
Today, every pack continues the same tradition of authentic flavour, now supported by modern manufacturing, stronger quality processes and a vision to take Rainbow Masala to kitchens across India.
Same Soul. Bigger Stage.
The original process
It started on a grinding stone.
Before machines, every Rainbow blend was worked by hand on stone — the profiles we batch-code today were perfected there.

Manufacturing
How a Rainbow batch is made.
Source
Raw lots bought at origin mandis — Guntur chilli, Sangli turmeric, Unjha cumin, Idukki pepper — each with a farm region and mandi record.
Clean & lab-check
Every lot is machine-cleaned, then lab-checked for moisture, colour value and adulterants before it enters the store.
Blend
Recipes are locked in a confidential formula vault. Batches are weighed, ground and blended to the gram — not to a taster's mood.
Batch-code & pack
Every pack carries a batch code that traces back to the raw lots inside it. Packed with resealable liners for kitchen life.
